Paleo Taco Lettuce Wraps
- 1/2 tablespoon olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 1/2 tbsp chili powder
- 1 1/2 tbsp cumin
- 1/2 tsp oregano
- a pinch of crushed red pepper flakes
- 2 tsp sea salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 small onion, diced (Phase 4 Only)
Mix the chili powder, cumin, oregano, salt, pepper, and crushed pepper in a small bowl.
Heat oil in a large skillet on medium heat. Once the onions (Phase IV only) are tender, about 5-7 minutes, stir in the garlic and heat for a minute.
Crumble in the ground beef and add spice mixture. Stir everything together and brown the meat until there is no sign of pink left.
Season to taste. To serve, put a large spoonful on a romaine leaf and top with your favorite toppings.
